Deep Insights 05: Advantages of HurricaneSwap — Convenient and Efficient

There are 2 ways to trade assets of different chains now.

The first is through CEXs. Users need to deposit the assets to a CEX, and then withdraw them to the chain of the assets they want to purchase. And if these two chains are both developed by CEXs, there is one more step to withdraw from Exchange A to Exchange B. Users need to have many CEX accounts, and there will be a certain amount of asset consumption in the process. Furthermore, involving the selection of different chains, the time for withdrawal confirmation and final confirmation on the chain, it takes at least 10 minutes.

The other is to use a single-token cross-chain bridge. For example, if a user only has assets on BSC, and he wants to buy some assets on Polygon. Then he has to transfer the assets to Polygon by the bridge supporting BSC. This will involve the steps of opening the cross-chain bridge, linking the wallet, signing, selecting the token, authorizing, sending the transaction, and waiting for the block confirmation, etc. The entire process takes at least 10 minutes, too.

Different from single-token cross-chain, HurricaneSwap adopts the LP-Bridge mechanism. Roke Protocol has shifted the liquidities of popular assets of other chains to Avalanche, from LP of other chains to aLP on Avalanche. Users essentially trade aToken directly without cross-chain processes. Users only need to enter the HurricaneSwap page, select the aToken they want to trade and confirm in the wallet. Not only are the steps simple and convenient, but also the time is greatly shortened–the entire process can be completed in 10 seconds.

Furthermore, Avalanche has a new consensus design: different from the classic consensus mechanism that requires all nodes to communicate with each other, the Avalanche protocol repeatedly samples the nodes in the network and collects their responses to a proposal, and finally directs all honest nodes to the same consensus result. As a result, the advantages of the classic consensus protocol and the Nakamoto consensus protocol are integrated: on the premise of ensuring decentralization, it has sufficient performance that its throughput and confirmations per second can reach thousands.

LP-Bridge itself has a great advantage in cross-chain transaction speed, and with the support of Avalanche, the speed will be exponentially improved.
